  1. In order to register for the vaccine booster, you must first visit the official portal of Cowin, i.e. @cowin.gov.in.
  2. When you visit the official portal, you will find an option to “Register/Login”, tap on the option.
  3. If you tap on the above option, you will be redirected to another web page where you will be asked to enter your old registered mobile number, enter the mobile number, and tap on the GET OTP option.
  4. By selecting the above-mentioned option you will be redirected to another web page and you will also get a 6 digit OTP. On the redirected webpage, fill in the OTP tap on the Verify option, and Continue.
  5. After you are redirected to the Cowin portal dashboard, here you will find a “Precaution dose” option, tap on it and book your booster dose.
  6. After booking the booster dose, you will be given the time, date, and address of the vaccination center where you need to be at the scheduled time to be vaccinated. 

Keep in mind that the frontline worker or seniors can only get the third dose if they have taken both (two) doses of the vaccine. Being an elderly citizen or frontline worker and being fully vaccinated with two doses is not an eligible criterion, it must be 39 weeks or 9 months after the second dose of vaccination.
